Optional Specialty Classes

Horsemanship Class, Sessions 1-3, 5 & 7, Ages 8+

Horsemanship Class offers campers the opportunity to learn basic equine care, grooming and riding techniques while exploring Camp Jorn’s expansive property via horseback. Campers of all ages and experience are welcome to participate in Horsemanship Class at Camp Jorn during one of their three hour-long morning class periods. (Extra Fee: $100)


Waterski Class, Sessions 1-7, Ages 8+

Waterski lessons offer campers an experience like no other on beautiful Rest Lake. Campers receive instruction from the beginner level right through advance skills. Professional equipment including a boom bar is used to ensure success. Campers must be blue (intermediate) level swimmers or higher to participate. (Extra Fee: $100)


Mountain Bike Class, Sessions 1-3, 5 & 7, Ages 8+

Campers are instructed in bike maintenance, safety and proper riding techniques.  Our new skill park is a blast!  No extra fee is required for your camper to take this class, but pre-registration is required.

Specialty Camps

Equestrian Specialty Camp, Sessions 4 &6, Ages 10 +
We are excited to offer an Equestrian camp that will help the beginner to advanced rider hone their skills. While other campers complete camp class rotations, this group receives specialized riding instruction from a highly trained Camp Jorn Wrangler! Campers will learn horse care, feeding, grooming, barn work, basic stable management, and riding techniques (both mounted and un-mounted), trail riding on miles of beautiful Northwoods trails and many other fun activities. Campers will be divided into groups by ability and knowledge.  (Extra Fee: $200)


Big Air, Big Waves: Waterski and Wakeboarding Specialty Camp, Sessions 4 & 6, Ages 10+

For campers who really want to hone their water skiing or wakeboarding skills, this is the perfect program.  At our water skiing and wakeboarding camp, every camper gets one-on-one and small group instruction from our skilled instructors, and fun-filled days on the water. Campers must have completed 1 year of ski class at Camp Jorn to participate as well as be blue (intermediate) level swimmers or higher to participate. (Extra Fee: $200)


Gear Shifters: Mountain Biking Specialty Camp, Sessions 4 & 6, Ages 10+

This program offers a special focus on all of the aspects of mountain biking. Throughout the week your camper will be challenged to work on a variety of mountain biking skills, gain trail riding knowledge and experience, and begin looking in to what it takes to build and maintain mountain bike trail systems. Not only will your camper get to perfect their skills on camp alongside our certified mountain biking instructors, we will be putting those skills to use at WinMan Trails on a variety of flowing single track trails. (Extra Fee: $200)
