Camp Jorn’s TEVA program offers older campers increased independence and responsibility, with some of the familiarity and routine of traditional summer camp. The TEVA program is for 13-15 year olds to challenge themselves in their CJ experience. Campers will live in CJ’s Yurt Village. It is set slightly apart from the main camp area and offers living space and a bathhouse.
TEVA Campers following the traditional camp schedule supplemented with some TEVA only opportunities. Campers will eat many meals in our Dining Hall, but have the option to cook some of their meals at Yurt Village with their counselors. The group will participate in traditional camp classes for one week and spend the other week participating in teen programming culminating in a short off-camp wilderness trip. High ropes and the wilderness trip are often the highlights of the TEVA experience. TEVA campers will have an experience to grow through outdoor adventure, teamwork and group living.
Specialty Classes & Specialty Camps
TEVA campers are able to participate in Main Camp add-on programs during the week they participate in camp classes. These add-on programs include horseback riding classes, Equestrian Specialty Camp, waterski classes, Waterski Specialty Camp and Mountain Biking Specialty Camp. Learn more about these programs on our Resident Camp page.
TEVA Wilderness Trip
A beginner level three-day-two-night canoe trip (weather permitting) allows TEVA campers to grow in teamwork and outdoor living skills. TEVA campers learn the basics of paddling and wilderness living at Camp Jorn before departure. On the trip, participants test their canoeing skills, enjoy the serene beauty of the famous Chain of Lakes, and learn introductory camping and Leave No Trace practices.
