Located on the Camp Jorn YMCA property, we offer a full day, year round quality child care program using a play-based curriculum which allows each child to grow at their own pace in the areas of social, emotional, physical and academic development.
Warm, caring, educated staff provide care in a casual, relaxed setting where the needs and interests of both child and parent are recognized.

Summer Care
Summer child care is also available by the day, week or month. Registration for the summer of 2024 will be announced at a later date!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When you enroll, you are reserving time, space, staffing and provisions for your child whether your child attends or not.
Tuition is to be paid in full on Friday preceding the next week’s service. Child Care may be terminated if payment is not current, or arrangement's have not been made.
A multiple child discount of 10% will be applied to the oldest child(ren) in attendance
Camp Jorn recognizes that families need time off for vacations, ill child days, grandparent's day, holidays, or for other reasons of their choosing. To accommodate these requests fairly and still plan financially, Camp Jorn offers part time children the opportunity to reschedule their alternate days if space is available within 2 weeks of cancelled days. Full-time children will be allowed 5 vacation days to be used during the school year (Sept 1-May 1). Vacation days cannot be carried over to the next year. No vacation days will be allowed from June 1-Aug 31.
A $25 service fee will be charged for all tuition express payments or checks that are returned for insufficient funds.
You will be charged a late pick-up fee of $5.00 for every minute you are late in picking up your child after 5:30 pm.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Child Care scholarships are available to those families in need of financial assistance. If you wish to be considered for a scholarship please complete our scholarship application form and provide supporting documents to our Child Care Director. Once your information has been received we will call or email within 2 weeks to discuss your application.
How much can I expect?
- We offer scholarships up to 50% of the base rate. We do not have full scholarships.
- For Child Care, scholarships are assessed for the duration of care, as long as funds are available.
OTHER RESOURCES
Wisconsin’s Child Care Subsidy program, Wisconsin Shares, helps families pay for child care. If the parent is eligible, child care can be subsidized for children under the age of 13 (up to 19 if special needs). Click here for more information!

CHILD CARE EMPLOYMENT
Camp Jorn Child Care and Preschool, located on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters Wis. is looking to fill 2 full time positions. Each position is 4-5 days per week, no nights or weekends, has 7 paid holidays, generous PTO, and a package that includes health/vision/dental and Y-retirement.
The right candidates should enjoy working with children between the ages of 3 months and 12 years of age. This candidate should have a background in Early Childhood Education or be willing to be trained. This position also requires the employee to be 18 years of age, pass a background check and a physical.
