Meet Our Summer Staff

Every summer Camp Jorn YMCA hires a staff of remarkable young men and women to serve as counselors, activity and trip leaders. Many are former campers, many are new to Camp Jorn, but all are committed to making every camper’s experience fun, memorable and affirming.

Haley Fritsche, Summer Day Camp Director

I feel like I've treated the last couple summers as my last at CJ but, here I am again, preparing for my seventh summer as a staff member after six as a camper. I am a believer in the power of camp and its ability to nurture children with relationships, provide them with a healthy outlet to stressors, and educate children with skills that will last a lifetime. This summer I am excited to continue to develop and better the Day Camp program as the Day Camp Director. While I am from Lake Tomahawk, WI, only 40 minutes from Jorn, camp will always feel like I completely different world.

In the Fall of 2021, I will be completing my college career at UW-Whitewater as I student teach in three different situations to complete my degree in Early Childhood Education. If you haven't caught on, kiddos are my passion but, I also love traveling and playing with my puppy, Polly. I cannot wait to spend sunny days on Rest Lake with your campers this summer!
