Camp Operations Director

Camp Jorn YMCA is now accepting resumes and cover letters for the Camp Operations Director! We are a coed, day and resident summer camp located in Northern Wisconsin. We also manage a licensed childcare center and year-round rental and retreat facilities.

The Camp Operations Director will be responsible for the preparation and day-to-day operation of summer camp and year-round camp programs. This leader will focus on the highest quality program delivery possible through quality leadership and staff training/supervision with the strong character of all at the forefront. Marketing and recruiting campers and seasonal staff to meet enrollment targets and maintain the budget for staff salaries are imperative. The job duties include working closely with board committees to implement special events/fundraising and representing Camp Jorn in person during the events/fundraisers. The Camp Operations Director will collaborate with the office manager to provide personal communication with campers and families from the point of registration through the evaluation of our programs.

Candidates with previous camp programming experience and experience with supervising staff are strongly preferred. Benefits include a competitive salary, housing options, health insurance, Y Retirement Fund contributions, and an unbeatably beautiful working environment.

Summer Resident Camp/Day Camp

Every summer Camp Jorn YMCA hires a staff of remarkable young men and women to serve as counselors, activity and trip leaders. Many are former campers, many are new to Camp Jorn, but all are committed to making every camper’s experience fun, memorable and affirming.  More information regarding 2025 staffing opportunities will be coming soon! 

Summer Day Camp Support Specialist

Camp Jorn is looking for three day camp support specialists for the summer of 2025, offering a chance to earn up to $21 per hour. This role involves working closely with group day camp counselors to ensure the well-being of campers with special needs, such as mild to moderate ASD, ADHD, mood or anxiety disorders, and Down syndrome, in an inclusive camp environment. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have experience or interest in working with children with special needs, attend staff training.
