Snowmobilers will delight in the fact that Manitowish Waters borders the Lake Superior snowbelt country and has over 25 miles of professionally groomed trails thanks to the MW Sno-Skeeters! Trailer your own sleds or rent a sled from our friends over at Grier’s Pier.

Silent Sport Enthusiasts this one is for you! The Northwoods offers some of the nicest groomed and back country trails you will ever see. Cross Country Skiers, snowshoers, and fat bikers will want to head over to visit our neighbors at the Discovery Center, WinMan Trails, the North Lakeland School District Trails, or the MECCA. Their trails are guaranteed to give you a good workout and provide you with many months of winter enjoyment. Bring your own snow shoes and skis or call our friends at River's Edge to set up a rental.

Downhill skiers & snowboarders will enjoy the fact that we are only a 40-minute drive from some of the Western Upper Peninsulas nicest ski hills. Known as the ‘Big Snow Country” there are plenty of ski resorts in the area to keep even the most adventurous skier busy! Check out our friends over at Big Snow Resort which offers 56 downhill skiing slopes or Big Powderhorn Mountain with 33 runs for endless fun!

Fishermen and women rejoice- Wisconsin ice fishing vacations are even better at Camp Jorn YMCA. Wisconsin ice fishing is an annual tradition for many. There's nothing like heading out on a frozen lake with ice fishing gear in tow. Its even better in the company of your favorite fishing buddies. Camp is conveniently located on Rest Lake, a 655 acre lake with a maximum depth of 53 feet. Common fish found in Rest Lake are musky, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye.
