Katy Bost

Camp Jorn YMCA has just completed its search for a new CEO and is happy to announce the hiring of Katy Bost to fill this position. During the search for a new CEO, the Camp Jorn YMCA board of directors interviewed various candidates who applied from locations throughout the country. Katy Bost stood out among the rest. Her energy, vision and many years of passion and dedication to Camp Jorn are exactly what the board was looking for in their next CEO. Katy, a native of Lake Forest, IL, has vast experience as an attorney advocating for children and families while living in Gainesville, FL for the last few decades. The Camp Jorn YMCA board is extremely confident in Katy’s ability to provide fantastic leadership within the organization for years to come. "I am thrilled to rejoin the Camp Jorn YMCA family," said Katy Bost. "Camp Jorn is the backyard in which my roots grew and linking with the Board of Directors to carry out our mission and execute what is best for camp is an absolute honor!" The Camp Jorn YMCA board is very excited to welcome Katy to the Northwoods! Katy will be joining the Camp Jorn team in June and will closely collaborate with Interim Director Dennis Lipp to guarantee a successful summer in 2024 and a seamless transition.

Lauren Heger

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Lauren (Malecki) Heger grew up immersed in the magic of summers up north at her grandparents’ cabin in Minocqua, WI, and at her childhood summer camp in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Joining Camp Jorn feels like a homecoming for Lauren, who most recently served as the Senior Program Director at a YMCA camp in California, overseeing family camps, group rentals, weddings and adventure programs.With a degree in Youth Ministry and nearly 20 years of camp experience, Lauren has devoted her career to the transformative power of camp - from her very first job as a junior camp counselor at a park district - to the Executive Director of a special needs camp- to now proudly serving as the Camp Operations Director here at Camp Jorn! She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, accepted, and empowered to grow. She firmly believes in the importance of play, connection to nature, and the life-changing impact of camp, working tirelessly to ensure these experiences are accessible to everyone. When she's not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband Johnny, their daughter Winnie, and her family and friends. She loves exploring new places with a cup of coffee in hand, taking road trips to theme parks nationwide, and capturing her adventures through photography.

Jenn Davis

Office Manager / Registrar

Jenn joined the Camp Jorn staff in March 2018 as our office assistant. In September 2018 she became our full time Office Manager/Registrar. She lives in Mercer with her children. When not working Jenn likes to spend time exploring the local area with her family, hiking, riding their bikes on the MW trail system, and tries to spend as much time on the water as possible.

Kim Tassi

Finance Manager

Kim has been with Camp since 2009. She completes the daily tasks necessary to maintain sound financial practices as well as assisting in human resource activities. She is highly organized, accurate and detail oriented. Kim lives in Presque Isle. She enjoys downhill skiing, horseback riding and spending time with her son Cale, his wife Kait, and her grandchildren.

Tyler Magnuson

Property Manager

Tyler joined our staff in September 2020 as our full time Property Manager. Born in northern Illinois, Tyler grew up fixing anything that he was allowed to tear apart. Learning closely all of his mechanical knowledge from his dad and grandpa. Tyler went to college for automotive service technology and has always loved working on anything with an engine. When not working he spends most of his weekends in the Manitowish Waters area fishing and riding snowmobiles in the winter.
